Two jobs, one well-lit space

An outdoor kitchen has a split personality after dark, and the lighting has to serve both sides. Where you cook and prep, you need bright, clean, honest task light — you should be able to see whether the meat is done and read a knife's edge, not squint at a dark grill by phone flashlight. Where people gather, you want warm, soft ambiance that makes them want to linger.

Getting both right in one space is the craft here. We design the task and ambient layers together so the cook has what they need and the guests get the mood, without one washing out the other.

Task light where the work happens

We put focused, glare-controlled light exactly where you use it: over the grill, along prep counters, and under upper counters and bar tops so shadows do not fall across the surface you are working on. Under-counter and bar accent lighting also adds a clean, upscale look to the whole setup.

Because grills throw heat and outdoor kitchens live in the weather, we use durable fixtures rated for it, placed and shielded so the light lands on the work and not in the cook's eyes.

Zones you can tune

The best outdoor kitchens let you dial the space to the moment. We set up dimmable zones so you can run the task lighting bright while you cook, then bring it down and let the ambient light take over once the food is served and everyone settles in.
